Q. I can not find my original Shopping List app on the App Store. What is happening?
A. 14 years ago we had 2 apps on the App Store: the free version and the paid version. Apps provided in two versions were de facto standard of the App Store of that time. However, in recent times, Apple started calling such behavior as "spamming of App Store" and started rejecting any further app updates until we removed one of the apps. That way the paid version of the app was suddenly and unexpectedly removed and is no longer available or supported.
How to check which app you have?
Look at the app icon: the paid version has blue dots inside the shopping cart, the free version has the red dots.
How to download the paid app if I still want to use it?
You can download the paid app from your purchases list:
1) Open standard App Store app
2) Tap your profile picture at top-right corner.
3) Tap "Apps"
4) Tap "My Apps"
5) Search the list for Shopping List app
6) Tap the cloud button on the found Shopping List app to download it
Can I transfer my data from the paid app to the free app?
Yes, you can transfer the data using your Mac or Windows computer. Please follow the steps of the FAQ question "How to backup my data". By following the steps, please drag-n-drop the "ShoppingList.sqlite" file from the paid app to your Mac and then - drag-n-drop the "ShoppingList.sqlite" file from your Mac to the free app.
Can I apply for refund if my app is no longer supported?
Yes, you can apply for refund by contacting the App Store of exact country from which you have bought the app. In most countries, you can do that easily by clicking "Report a problem" in the app purchase receipt email. Please note, the refunds are controlled and decisions are made by the store that sold the app.
